It's hard to say without hearing the voice and knowing exactly what kind of mic/pre combination you're using. The presence of the female voice usually lies around 3-4kHz (2-3 for guys) and the bite is around 6kHz. For a female, de-ess at 7-8kHz. Male de-ess is usually around 5kHz, but can be as high as a female or as low as 4kHz.
Personally, I like to do a high-pass filter above 100-125 Hz because I think it makes the sound more feminine. For a tighter sound, try cuts at 250Hz and 500Hz. If you want that deep sultry sound, boost at 160Hz. Too nasal? Try a cut at 900-1000Hz. Use a narrow Q at low frequencies, wider Q at high frequencies.
As far as compression goes, you don't need as much with a female voice as you do with a male. 3:1 oughtta do it. If there's no background noise, you can add some edge with an upward expander below about 50db. If there's background noise or mouth noise, an upward expander will only make it worse, so try a downward expander.
These are just some ideas...As I said, it's impossible to tell without hearing the voice and knowing the equipment and room nodes.
