He did work for the Vol Network before he came to the Titans and there has always been the rumor that if he had stayed with the Vol Network, he would have replaced John Ward as the "Voice of the Vols" when John Ward retired following the 1998 National Championship season.

I've been a huge vols fan for many years and I remember Keith on the Vol Network. He would be an improvement over Kessling. Hell, Buntin would be an improvement over Kessling. :

bill does the gallatin games on friday nights..and also is the voice of the cumberland games in lebanon on their college station and WANT....in the past he has filled in for NFL back when they were on strike several years ago..he really is a top notch play by play guy..thats all he ever wanted to be..i think he does whatever it takes to get a company car..lol...in damn near 40 years..i don't think i've ever seen him drive a car he actually owned..
