August PPM numbers are out now

V-103 is still #1 with the same numbers as last month
Kiss is down by a whole share
Majic is down
B98.5 is up
Hot is down
Q100 is down
News/Talk WSB is down big time, it's barely even in the top 10 now

The rest can be found on All Access

What is going on at WSB? They must have lost a few heavy users. And when Boortz leaves, I imagine it will only get worse.

Seems that The Fish is moving on up while Star trends down. The success of Fish is one of the most underrated stories in this market. They're right there in the mix with Star and Q.

Question: Does Rock 100 just having incredible billing or something? Surely with 99x and Dave out of the picture, Rock will tweak the music some, right? I don't understand how that station is status quo.

Wow...putting WSB on FM resulted in a bump in ratings that didn't last too long. News-Talk formats are facing the same generational challenge that the Republican party is gonna face after this Presidential election and that is the fact that the majority of the less than 50 crowd is not a bunch of angry white men. The new generation of conservative folks are just not into the shrill you hear from most popular talk show hosts. I also don't think they are that interested in hearing people call Clark Howard with the same ten problems you hear most of the time. This is indirectly a result of consolidated radio and the major broadcast companies owning the key stations in the largest markets. No new talent is being developed. Stations are just riding the network feed and they will end up riding that horse til there is little left. With its huge resources with WSB-TV and the AJC, WSB, in my opinion, should have developed a news format that is probably best executed in a large market by WTOP in Washington. That format evolves from a heritage station like WSB which has the time and resources to keep it germaine to the changing demographics of the market. WGST did a good job with it back when they were on 920 but never had the signal to compete with WSB. Folks from all walks of life want the local news but a lot of folks don't want to hear Boortz and Hannity bitching or Clark complaining about some credit card company ripping off someone. I've heard some talk show hosts on WAOK that were a lot more interesting to listen to even though I didn't agree with their thoughts on some issues, they were a lot more interesting than a lot of the dribble you hear from the syndicated hosts.

AN106.7 went from 0.8 to 1.2. They are starting to climb. That is a rise of 0.4. WSB-AM fell 0.3. I wonder if there is a correlation?

Sure Rodney will post the 'meaningful' PPM numbers soon, those being the 25-54 ratings.
A Cumulus insider shared All News posted a 0.7 share ranked 27th, not too shabby two months in.
Top 5 were V, followed by KISS, Magic, with B98 and Hot tied for 5th.
Dave had its best month in a very long time. Shame.

I wonder if there were 7 urbans, would all of them make the top 10? What were Power 99's ratings when it was just Power 99 and V103 battling?

Any chance of Cox flipping WSBB back to music?

Any chance of Cox putting Martha Zoller back on the air now that her campaign is done and 103.7 has gone to variety hits?

Rock is still alive because you're failing to look at their demo. 6+ people they look terrible. But break it down to Men 25-54. They're dominating outside of ethnic. Period.

Nothing again Martha except for all of the robo calls her campaign filled up my voice mail with (four in two hours has to be a record). I almost always vote for the candidate that has the least number of canned robo calls and it was not her!

Sorry for the rant, back to radio:

She could have a Herman Cain type deal where she could come back after a failed campaign. I just hope not to 103.7 which has IMHO a decent play list when I can pick it up.

Chuck FM is great, and I can pick it up well in the Sugarloaf/Johns Creek area. They play lots of 80s and some 70s pop, and too bad it's the only place where you still can (neener-neener-nee-ner!)
