August Ratings

Anyone know where to find the 6+ numbers now that this board has separated from radioinfo and neither one has the numbers posted?

Where is WIP-FM? I see two entries for WIP-AM with the same ratings, but no FM.

106.1 is quietly up to a 4.0 share. That's pretty good.

Why did WIOQ go down so much?

Perhaps they are feeling the effects of not having a local morning show and being syndicated from 6AM-3PM. I stopped listening to Elvis Duran because 1) the show is too national-no local feel and 2) the show tends to be in bad taste at times. Too many vulgar or inappropriate conversations. I miss Chris Booker's show, which was more entertaining and local. Preston and Steve are much better than Duran.

Q102 usually does a lot better in the summer months, as do most CHR's because of the number of teens listening during the day. Perhaps this is another indication that younger audiences are turning away from terrestrial radio.

Philly is really lacking in the morning show department. Elvis Duran hasn't been funny in 15 years, Chris Booker?? really? He hasn't been good since his KROCK days in NY, Preston and Steve are good and have quite the loyal following, but even their shtick has gotten stale and repetitive lately. Chio's doing so well he has to play more music in the morning so he doesn't talk. I'm sure this is coming across harsher than I mean it...

I think when the "morning show all day" format (e.g., Free-FM) failed nationally, radio decided that people don't want morning shows, even in the morning. Obviously there are exceptions, but most of them are shows that have been on for years.
