August Ratings

Ratings for July 18th through August 14th:

WLW back up to a 13.2
WGRR drops almost a full share. Q102 drops almost one and a half shares.
1230 The Buzz down to a 0.6. I don't remember seeing them below maybe a 0.8

100.3 FM's rating is for two weeks as FM 100 The Fan and two weeks as Old School 100.3. It is showing a 1.5 share
(0.1 between February and July), and the cume has jumped to 112,600. Next ratings period is for August 15 to September 11, which will give us a true rating for this station.

Quite a jump from FM 100 the Fan at a 0.1. I have seen no advertising for Old School 100.3 either. I've wondered if maybe FM 100 was on another frequency they could have gained some traction. 100.3 was meant to play music.

They are doing promo posts for Old School 100.3, on the facebook pages for the other two Radio One stations, 1230 The Buzz and 101.1 The Wiz.

Plus the billboards that are now up.

Plus the fact that there is not the audience for FM sports talk that some of us thought.

WGRR's ratings increased after MOJO became The Fan In fact they overtook WLW for the top spot when the March book came out. Now that Radio One has put R&B Oldies back on 100.3, I was expecting WGRR's rating to drop back down. I'd expect WUBE to retake the #2 spot in the next ratings book.

The PPM is the cause of the wild fluctuation from month to month. I really have to question the accuracy of the samples. The PPM system also does not work on portable devices either. I do agree the return of music on 100.3 will cause WGRR and Rewind a few points. Rewind is playing a lot of what Q102 plays now.

I'm surprised to see Cumulus owns WNKU.

They don't. Several inaccuracies on the list when it comes to who owns what (WOFX, WREW, WUBE, AND WYGY have the wrong owner listed).
