Augusta 1230 switch

Most music FMs are so incredibly boring in 2010....good for the new owners of
1230AM for going after the most-likely available audience on AM: adults, age 55+.
I wish them great luck!

Music on AM. Wow, that'll be tough but I wish them the absolute best. I hope they make it. I'll only be able to listen when and if they start streaming.

Back in the 70's when Charlie Andrews programmed 1230 when it was WBIA it was one of the best sounding A/C stations bar none. It was great music, personality and fun---the way an A/C station should be. Anyone know whatever happened to Charlie...i know he left WBIA and programmed the former WZZW/103FM and he had that sounding very sweet as well---before it went Black formatted way back when. He was a good guy! I remember the studios along Walton Way---nice view of the street and people could actually come back and wave to you(hopefully more than just one finger). I did a little stint there and worked for Charlie---again a class act and a really good guy!

You know, maybe it is time for someone who really knows his stuff to take a station and go retro with it. The new is so bland, perhaps old would really catch on and take off. Music on AM? What a concept!
