AUSTIN ARBITRENDS, WINTER, PART II

It's the "big flopper"!

Y'know, that's got to be disappointing to the people who put that signal up there. But then again, maybe not. There's been NO promotion whatsoever, not to mention the sometimes-iffy programming.

There are simply too many radio stations in this town. Think we would swing some kind of a deal where four or five of them go dark and in exchange the remaining stations agree to use only local talent?

Naw, I didn't think so either..........
 
Coupla observations: KGSR's move appears to have helped -- not hurt -- them. CC appears to have a winner with The Beat. Mix keeps dropping. BMP cluster's ratings are shameful. And why, oh why, are the Entercom stations STILL listed as being owned by CBS?
 
even though i like oldies and classic rock, the oldies station here does not program the music correctly. they need someone in austin to program it, instead of someone in another state. thats why i keep going back got back to listening to my classic rock and oldies cd's.
