Need a little help from some of the historians out there.

Trying to figure out who was the morning show on KHFI (what it was before KISS) back in 1991. Am looking for any website or person that can help identify the morning team during that time for a surprise project for a family member.

Any and all help appreciated.

In 1991 it was "Bob and Mike", then I believe in late '92 it became the "KHFI Wake-Up Show with Alan Price and Karen Clauss." BTW... it's the same Karen who is currently doing mornings on Magic in San Antonio.

sometime in the 1980's there was jr in the morning, debra duncan (news) ( i believe is in houston) on khfi , bo and bama on z 102. bob cole on koke 95.5. (now majic 95.5) and is on kvet 98.1. sammy allred on kvet-am 1300. also a repeat dj from khfi to kool oldies 98.9 to majic 95.5 ( i forget his name) and also the morning team on the old key 103 ( mitchell roebuck and i forget the other person's name)in the 80's ( now bob-fm). also kjfk hard rock morning dj was a singer ( i believe he was with butthole surfers or something close)

The years have blurred my memories, but I recall a husband and wife team called 'The Uglies' on KHFI 98.1, and they traded stations with a guy who was at a Florida station. I think his name was Dave Shropshire. Karen and Allen Price were doing mornings when KHFI moved to 96.7, in 1992 I think. That's about the time Cole crossed the street from Majik to KVET-FM, when it launched on 98.1. Bo and Bama were on Z 102 from about 1989 to 1993. Dave Jarrett, David Anderson and Cathy Conley were on KEY-103 until about '92 or '93. KLBJ-FM had Dudley and the op's man, who left for San Diego. KLBJ-AM had Robert Wood in 91, then Ed Clements. 93.3 went from Dave Butts/B-93 to some sort of soft AC format, with Bob whatsisname. A lot of water has gone over the bridge since then... maybe someone recalls it more accurately.

Thanks to all for the help. I remember it was a morning duo of two males so perhaps it was Bob and Mike.

Confirmed specific time frame in question was May 1991...so if anyone can definitely confirm these two were the morning team back then, that would help.

Thanks!

Yes, it was Bob and Mike. And that summer they were promoting the "All Hit K-96.7 Great River Raft Race" on Town Lake. (sorry, I meant Lady Bird Lake :)

That Summer on K96.7 it was:

Bob & Mike in the morning
Beth Wilson - middays
Willy B - afternoons
Jay Michaels - nights

Mike is still doing radio and character voices somewhere, not sure what became of Bob.
