Austin Hill: Fox Yes! KXAM yuk?

Heard Austin Hill on my Sirius satellite Friday sittin' in for the "Brian and the Judge" show on Fox News talk Radio Network. And that means he was also heard on the mighty 1310 KXAM (KXAM runs that show weekday mornings)! Nice fill in gig for Hill. He seems to be filling in all over the country (KFI Los Angeles, WMAL in Washington D.C., Fox net, etc...)....but in terms of phoenix radio stations, what's worse, KXAM or the place he just bailed out of, 960 KKNT?

KXAM.

KKNT might pull barely a one share 12 plus, its upper demos show a little better, the station does have a niche audience with all the satellite talk shows and is actually making money.

...sharing the mic with a "partner." Yeah, right.....seriously, Hill sounds great solo. I'm not sure why he ever needed a "partner" at KFYI anyway. Although the team show had some potential at one point, years ago at KFYI (I do kinda miss "PC Friday"). But in the final few months the "partner" was out of control and the show sounded terrible at AM 960. I heard him on one of the channels at XM doing a thing where he tells stories about American Presidents, I think the stories come from the book he wrote. And I heard him on KFI in LA over the summer. Sounded great. Nice to see a local guy succeed in this biz.
