Austin Hill @ KT"R

Listening right now to Hill filling-in for Gaydos at night. Sounds good, definite improvement. More to come?

I always enjoy listening to Austin Hill. Sounded like he was working remotely, via ISDN line. Does he have a home studio?

More intelligent, yes. More entertaining, no. The #! reasons Nurse Jeff and I listen to Gaydos is to hear what idiotic thing he says on a station that wants to be taken seriously.

Now can someone explain the purpose behind hiring Joe Crummey at KT'R? We were hoping to hear more that just a minute in the morning, especially when Aunt Carlos was out in New Hampshire catching a cold. Perhaps the Master Blogger is afraid to put Crummey on as talker given the big stink he made about the Evil One last year?

I was wondering the same thing. Wednesday and Thursday sounded weird. Friday sounds like Hill is in the studio.

Hill is on today (10 March) for Mac Watson. Still sounds like he is not in studio. In the first hour he mentioned "in the state of Arizona" twice almost like he wasn't here. Or maybe because of his national programs he trying to emphasis AZ. No problem with saying the phone number multiple times fast.

He filled in for Hugh Hewitt two days a few weeks back and did a great job.

He is much better than anyone else KTAR has lately.

Where is that Talk Show host Nurse Jeff and I really like (and he aint no dummy)? Believe it or not, next month will be the first anniversary of the Evil One getting the heave-ho at 5~Fifty. Why do we have to put up with marginal talent filling in for marginal fulltimers at KT'R? Oh, that's right...the Master Blogger is in charge ;) ;)

Gotta disagree with the Doc on this one. Heard Hill a little at KTAR yesteday. Heard him a few weeks ago on Hewitt show on 960. I've also heard him on KXAM on a Fox syndicated show (forget the name of the show). He's very good. Great energy, very smart, very funny. Defenite improvement for KTAR, although I like Ankarlo too.

I listened to Austin Hill last night and thought he did a terrific job discussing the Spitzer affair (no pun intended). The guy is smart, savvy and he knows how to deal with difficult callers. In fact, he kept a good caller on the line for several minutes. It was a good call and the caller was bringing up some good points. Conversely, Hill was quick to dispatch the lame and boring callers.

Russ Hill would do well to consider swapping Mac & Cheese for Austin Hill.

I enjoy listening to Hill, whereas, I can barely stomach five minutes of Mac & Cheese and the stories about his "infamous girlfriend."
