Austin Hill on KFI

I heard Austin Hill filling in for John Ziegler last nite on KFI in LA.

Its nice to hear him not doing his stupid sidekick schtick that he does on the incredibly stupid Liddy & Hill show. His schtick was even different than his KFYI stuff.

Of course, Monday comes around and its back to the same dead end show on 960. I hope he finds work in LA again.
 
Austin's been working part time at KFI for most of this year. I also saw his new book at a Barne's an' Noble the other day, and in the bio section in the back it says that he works for KFI but also for WMAL/D.C. and KRLD/Dallas (KRLD has him listed as a fill-in person on their webiste). Anybody know if he does it all ISDN or does he go to LA for KFI? All very interesting.........
 
Actually, when Austin is gone, Liddy sounds better because Liddy isn't trying to "crack up" his co-host. Conversely, when Liddy is gone, Austin sounds better, too.

These guys hooked up as holiday fill-ins on KFYI and had some chemistry going. They were genuinely funny for a while.... until they decided they were - as a team - IMPORTANT. Ooooooh....

As anyone can tell you, the minute a talk show host takes him or herself too seriously and thinks he or she is IMPORTANT (please refer to Goyette, Charles), that person is doomed, I tell you... DOOMED!
 
Speaking of KKNT, what in the wide world is going on over there? A Salem station not only paying two local talents, but now Mark Levin? Ed Atsinger must be having fits with all the non-boring, non-Salem talk eminating from the cemetery where KKNT/KFNN live. Apparently Hannity's recent ratings thumps convinced the Dudeboss to steer clear of adding his friend The Great One to replace the dismal Wheel-o-Hosts at night, as has happened on so many other CC stations (like lil sis KNST, airing a two-hour show twice in three hours in their highest TSL daypart ??? ???)

Interesting. I feel the exact same way. I used to listen to Talk Soup Talk Brew with Austin Hill. I thought he did a great job with an hour show. After 9/11, I thought that Liddy and Hill did a good job as fill-in hosts. After they took over the 4-7 slot, I soon got tired of Liddy yelling into the microphone and Hill with his phony laugh. I rarely tune them in now.
 
Zeigler painted himself in a corner on the Iraq war...people in LA even the right wingers are burned out on the light at the end of the tunnel talk that's why savage , john and ken dumped the topic
