According to the new Arbitron market rankings Austin has moved up from market #42 to #39. This is the largest jump in the top 50 and tied for the largest rise in the top 100.
San Antonio has moved from #30 to #31 switching places with Salt Lake City.
austin is sure is growing, there must be at least 16 am's and about 30 fm's. austin is around 750-770,000 people living there. while san antonio is over 1.5 million people. i don't know how many radio stations they got in san antonio.
Captex was talking about the population of Austin within its city limit's which is around 750,000-770,000. Metro area is at least 1,381,800 and probably closer to 1 and a half million.
