Austin Pirate Radio Stations

Just creating this to keep track of all the pirate stations in Austin, LOL there have been so many changes recently that I might as well just create one thread.

*90.1 is operational as always, "Texas Liberty Radio" (Alex Jones style talk).
*91.1, formerly Spanish Christian programming, is off the air, not sure what happened.
*94.3 in south Austin with Spanish Christian is on the air but is suffering with audio problems that make it pretty much unlistenable.
*94.3 in downtown Austin, or www.PeopleWillRadio.org, is off the air. The website is still live though. Again not sure what happened.
*95.9 in Austin, formerly Radio Vida Austin (Spanish Christian), is still broadcasting it's dead carrier and hasn't played any audio since August when I let them know it was illegal to operate a pirate without a license. I'm again not sure but I guess they tried to turn it off, but can't fully turn it off for some reason?
Anyway the site is still live at http://vidaaustin.com.

All the info I believe to be correct, but I could be wrong. If I am or if I'm missing any pirates, let me know. Weird to see some of them go dark around the time of the Government shut-down when they wouldn't be busted. The ones I mentioned were off the air went dark sometime within the last 2 months or so I think.

San Antonio has no pirates that I know of so I can't say much about pirate radio in that city.

Over the weekend I got the chance to hear that the downtown 94.3 is back on the air. Still PeopleWillRadio (they're also calling it KPWR).

Given the complete lack of interest by the FCC in this area, it's amazing there aren't any others. As far as the FCC is concerned, 90.1 might as well be completely legal.

San Antonio Illegal station

102.3 k272ek a translator in San Antonio. It has been rebroadcasting "supposedly" 1500 KRBN AM out of Boerne but when 1500 is off the air which was for about 6 months it has maintained its signal. I believe it to be out of the contour of 1500 and also over powered covering from Boerne to Floresville with "100 watts"???

The infamous Jerry(Gerald) B.....Claro communications....B communications.....

K272EK certainly seems to have it's power over 100 watts. I'm sorry to say this but I've got some doubts about that station. Same with 87.7, it's got a strong signal too.

I'm in Austin, all the pirates are down except for 90.1. Guess 95.9 got around to shutting down. Not sure what happened to the others though.

Yes it is, though I believe they've been fined before and have not paid up.

Yes, the same 90.1 that the FCC shut down years ago when it was at Raymond Frank's site, now it's back and is absolutely invulnerable to any federal action.
