Austin September Numbers

Bob continues to lead. No surprise. Well done with a better-than-ever signal.

KUTX is down a lot. Nearly half of their June numbers.

Sun Radio is up to a very respectable 3.1. Pretty impressive for 99 watts in a five county market (yes, they have the San Marcos translator too). I think that is the highest I can remember for 100.1. That puts it well ahead of a number of full-power stations including The Beat, 101X, and Lucy.

No sign of Jack yet (maybe not encoding?), or ESPN 102.7 either (actually it looks like ESPN maybe has a .5 with the old format listed), but The Horn looks pretty decent at a 2.5. I would imagine that the M 25-54 numbers are very good. KOKE-FM somewhat consistently hovers in the low 1s. I wonder if there has been any consideration to making a 104.9/99.3 simulcast. The two signals very neatly compliment each other with very little 60 dBu overlap and would fill in a lot of 104.9's signal limitations.

103.1 is slowly climbing a little with their 80s format.

Alt 97.5 appears to be on life support.

Here is what a 104.9/99.3 simulcast would look like... very little overlap. Clearly 99.3 can't really be competitive ratings wise by itself and the 98.5 KOKE-FM simulcast might be carrying most of the water. Also, I am still perplexed they haven't move the 101.9 Horn FM translator in from Georgetown now that the LPFM is out of the way. It can go all the way to Buckman or at least be changed to a non-directional antenna.
