Earlier thread discussed translators on 97.1 & 98.5 in Austin rebroadcasting KITY out of Llano. Is there still something on either frequency?

KITY was still on 98.5, last I checked.

How strong are those translators? I'm about 30 miles south of Austin and can get some interferince it seems like from them when I'm listening to KBBT.

According to their license not very strong. I can pick up 98.5 in Austin with a digital tuner, but its beset with static.

Tight squeeze as a second adjacent to strong signals 98.1 and 98.9, plus they'll really see tropo headaches from co-channels in San Antonio, Houston, and Rockdale. Double edged sword: A high quality receiver will have no trouble separating the stations, but is going to be more sensitive to the distant signals.
