Autobiographical songs

Songs about events that actually happened in the lives of those who wrote those songs.

Examples:

"Ballad of John and Yoko," Beatles
"Lodi," Creedence Clearwater Revival
"Garden Party," Rick Nelson (no "y" on the end of his name by that time!)

I'm A Man Bo Diddley
Bad To The Bone George thorogood & the Destroyers

That Was Me - Paul McCartney

Does "Creeque Alley' by The Mamas and Papas qualify?

If you're going to mention Billy Joel, you must mention "The Entertainer." He summed up the music business quite nicely in that one. And he had to have lived it in order to have written that one so well.
