??? it sounds like kfyi is automated after 10pm now.

:eek: so much dead-air, double-audio and missing newscasts on 550 this week.

::) great listening to all the premiere / coast to coast promos for five minutes on 550 the other night; complete with cue tones and countdown.

:-[ i've also noticed double audio on 620 lately, associated with automation.

:mad: all this nonsense to save $45 dollars a night for a top rated news/talk station!?
 
i've just spent a few minutes listening to 5 audio feeds on 550 kfyi at 10pm ::)

a couple audio sources would go away, then all but one, then double audio, a koy legal id, silent for a few seconds, then it's all 5 audio sources at once for 30 seconds, dead-air, followed by a few several coast to coast promos before the 'coast open. ???

what is up at kfyi? this can't be valley's top news / talk station.?


damn, i kinda remind myself of the guy who keeps track of when the lumberyard carrier and programming hits the air; to the second. :D

ummmmm...whats the latest with Lumberyard 14~Forty? Are they hittin' their sign on & off times give or take 15 minutes? And how 'bout those non-existent station ids when their carrier is first fired up in the morning? Nurse Jeff wants to know if anyone has caught 'em using that blazing 52 watt authorization in the middle of the damned night? Until we get the skinny, the Nurse and I'll just keep Ponder(osa)ing the questions!
 
The good thing about these automation mistakes is at least they add something compelling and interesting to the air chain.

I've heard automation that is largely flawless and after a while it is fatiguing especially in a music format. Just sounds like an Ipod cycling through all the files.

With August being 1915...carrier cut tonight (Wednesday) at 1914:12.
No ID per Gumpdusky's usual nefarious practice. Over And Over
(DC5) at one point was just...over.

Happened to check out Lumberyard 1440 as I had been escucha-ing
to ocho sesenta which appeared to switch to their night DA pattern
at 1913. It seemed to take two attempts (where the carrier was
briefly interrupted).

And BTW, I could not detect a legal ID on 860 while listening for +/-
five minutes across 7:00. Maybe it was effectively buried, but doesn't
the legal have to be announced in ingles?
