Average Salary For A Producer?

Was asked by someone in a large market what the average salary was for a morning show producer? Since that's not my area of expertise, I thought I would throw it out to people who know. I realize there are a lot of factors, but if there's a going rate, would love to know.

Depends on the show... 30's would be average. Goes up depending on how long you've been with the show, and the success of the show.

This is an interesting topic that we really haven't discussed here. Yeah, we've heard about the rare and astromical salaries of the elite few, like when Jimmy Baron was making in the mid $300k. (By the way, once someone loses a gig like that, how do they make up the lost salary? That's gotta be hard to do!)
Let's discuss real-world and what MOST people make in broadcasting, since typically it's the sales geeks who make the most money.
- Board ops: $7 - $10/hour typically?
- midday or afternoon drive talent?
- p/t announcers/djs? - $10 - $20/hour?
- program directors?
- music directors? (do they still really exist?)
- traffic people - $10/hour?
- news: Top tier like Scott Slade? others?
- engineers?

If anyone knows it'd be interesting to find out.

Never live above your means. Always live like tomorrow is your last day on the job. I remember reading in Wolfman Jack's autobio how he wasted money all the time on cars, clothes, and blow, but had he saved money he would have to sweat it out until his big gig came along in New York.
