Awkward Silence

Re: Awkward Silence, Mad dawg is growling

J-Street:
Don't you know radio is and has been a dog-eat-eat world? I was wanting to work for WQUT back in it's CHR
days and be playing all the good and bad tunes of the eighties but didn't get to. The idea is to move around and find YOUR place in radio. If your waiting on the veterans to leave, die or give you a break, good **** luck! I've been there. I'm content where I am. Have'nt been anywhere else but in the Tri-Cities-so what! It's up to YOU! not the veterans. I've been running the board for 10 years and never made a star....Whoooopie!!
Doooo-Daaaa!!!...You have to work your way up, it isn't owed to you just because you have a degreee...Just wait your turn and be patient or quit whinning like the mule you are and get your tapes and resumes together and leave the area if your not happy with the way things are...We are not going to go anywhere to pave the way for YOU. sfx...(Dawg Growling) If you really want to get anywhere get your daddy to buy you a radio station. and you'll be working for daddy....been there and done that!!...(Mad dawg is wetting on your shoe!!!)

That shoe dried up pretty fast. Strong words from a board operator too. Where in the world did I say anything about a degree? Where in the world did I say anything about not being happy with where I am right now? And as far as waiting for veterans to leave? Where did that come from? Someone else stated that they were tired of all the "young guys" getting the jobs, so I simply stated that wasn't true where I work, I didn't say I cared one way or the other.

Maybe you were reading something else. Next time, look closer. There's things in radio that bother us all, we all discuss it, but I never said anything about my situation. I'm happy where I am. I was simply informing the world how some OTHER stations are doing things, from what I can tell. Eminem could DJ the morning drive on a Country station in the Tri-Cities and it's still going to be number one, doesn't mean I have to like it. I'm just baffled by how out of the blue your post was there. I wish I could see things that weren't there, then maybe I could be a psychic detective instead of working in radio. One more thing, try coming up with your own one liners instead of stealing them from geek.

good call j. streak. sadpuppy isn't bright enough to come up with his own liners. oh wait, board operators don't have to worry about liners. hey puppy, do they have brail on that board in jcw? streak is right, you must have been blind, deaf and dumb to pull all that bs you posted out of the air.
