axes fall at WGN

WGN axed a couple of weekend "hosts" and replaced them with three new faces. One of those faces is Jerry Agar, formerly of WLS. Among those cut was Pat Moller who had a Saturday afternoon finance program.

Wes Bleed, long time news director, was also let go in the shuffle.

WGN brought in a new PD, Kevin Metheny, a few months ago.

Given that Metheny also made the decision to bring in Gary Meier, this is hardly a move to have a more youthful voice.

I'm not a big fan of the new programming director, unless he's charged with putting 'GN in the toilet. If that's the case, he's doing a great job!

It's the PD formerly known as "Pig Virus"!

(Hey, ya think now they're going to go back into Howard Stern's movie and book and replace all those references with "H1N1"? :D )

It's been rumored that Jerry Agar might end up on GN.
Very surprised about Wes Bleed as he's been there a long time.

That was his mistake. Those people who stick around a long time get raises. And there's always someone out there who will do it cheaper.

Only for DVDs and books in circulation at HHS, DHS, and other federal
government jurisdictions.

And perhaps a drive-by media outlet or two. ;)

So I'm not the only person who thought about that. (But in the movie he was called "Pig Vomit".)
