BURNTON NAMED ACTING GM OF AZ-TV
Pledges to keep spirit of Ron Bergamo alive

Londen Media Group owner Jack Londen today named Jeff Burnton as acting General Manager of AZ-TV (KAZT-TV, Channel 7, Cable 13), succeeding Ron Bergamo, who was killed in a car crash last weekend near Prescott.

“Ron made the choice for us”, said Mr. Londen. “When he brought Jeff in as Sales Manager last week I asked him if this was the guy he wanted to succeed him if he retired early and he said yes.”

Burnton is a longtime Valley TV executive who has been Vice President and General Sales Manager at KPNX, Channel 12 and General Sales Manager at Cox Media.

“Ron Bergamo has been such a strong leader and inspiration to the employees at AZ-TV and clients throughout Arizona”, said Burnton. “I look forward to keeping his spirit alive and continuing to grow the value of AZ-TV which he worked so hard to build.”

Jeff graduated from the University of Wisconsin, worked as a rep in Chicago and L.A. for Blair Television and has five children. He’s been a Phoenix resident since 1991.
