KAZT Wins Rights To New Talk Show Hosted By Marie Osmond
AZ-TV (KAZT, Channel 7/Cable 13) has been chosen by Program Partners, Incorporated to launch Marie Osmond’s new talk and entertainment program Marie in the fall of 2009.
“Marie Osmond’s enduring popularity with viewers has been demonstrated time and time again” said Michael Hagerty, AZ-TV’s Director of Programming and Promotion. “She’s got a 35-year track record in American entertainment…but the past year, her star is shining even more brightly…Dancing With The Stars, a new Las Vegas show, and appearances on other shows where she boosts their ratings (see chart below).”
The station plans to air Marie in primetime, where the largest number of viewers, including working women, will be able to watch. “I want it to be a fun show, that girlfriend destination where we can all laugh a little bit, cry a little bit and just enjoy life”, said Ms. Osmond.
