AZFamily helicopter now known as Chopperguy 1

Noticed on this mornings GMAZ that Bruce Haffner is now calling his helicopter "Chopperguy 1" instead of "Lyons Roofing Newschopper".

Noticed on this mornings GMAZ that Bruce Haffner is now calling his helicopter "Chopperguy 1" instead of "Lyons Roofing Newschopper".

Noticed the same thing. No Lyons Roofing emblem in upper right corner of the screen. But I think the camera on the bottom of the helicopter still had a Lion graphic on it.

I've always found it interesting that the Buckeye Media Hut owners stay on the radio side and has hardly ever posted in the TV threads

I saw this on ftvlive a couple weeks ago: https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2020/5/4/chopper-down.

It indicated that KTVK/KPHO has grounded the chopper. But, as noted above, it has been on GMAZ as chopperguy1. So, I'm not sure what's going on.

It's Back

Just that quick, the Lyons Roofing Newschopper is back on the air at AZFamily. Watch Bruce reporting over the wildfire near Carefree/Cave Creek with the Lyons name.

This is another strange incident with Arizona Family. Remember how they stretched Good Morning Arizona until 11:00AM and like 3 weeks later quietly retreated back to 10:00AM?

Right, it seems that they've given up on the weekday version of Your Life AZ/Arizona. I happen to like GMAZ and tend to have it in the background while I work from home. I would love to have the 10am to 11am hour back.

I moved to AZ 20 years ago, and used to switch local news channels every 6-ish months to see which one I liked best. One of my favorites was the all-women lineup on ABC15 consisting of Thomas, Burgess, O'Kelley and Barness. I ended up staying with 3TV. Yes, it's playing in the background while I'm working from home.

However for national news, I've been a ABC News junkie since I was a teen living in Detroit. So I watch World News Now and America this morning before GMAZ comes on at 4:30AM
