aztv to go HD

Au contrare, Senor Tuna.

What about KAZT 7.2? It's SD, but it's older reruns via the
Retro Television Network that TV Land has, for the most part,
discarded.

Au contrare, Senor Oldiesfan,

I've even tried 7.2. Nada.

About the only thing I've watched on AZTV is their rare Coyotes hockey games.

I've found a few shows on 7.2 worth watching, and it's better than today's garbage.

Just my two cents.

Mike

They also announced that RTN 7.2 will also be added to Cox digital next month on channel 93. That's if RTN is still around by then.

Watching cheesy episodes of the original "Knight Rider" still beats infomercials any day.

Why would anybody watch an infomercial? ???

KTVK must think there are a few who fall for them. They are running one right now featuring con artist Kevin Trudeau, right after their 9pm newscast tonight. Time$ mu$t be $o tough for them that they're $elling prime time to the lowe$t common denominator now, even though it'$ a $aturday $lot!

Those Trudeau infomercials likely helped to pay for AZTV's new HD stuff. Considering what's on the channel, I am reminded that Gerald is no fresh-faced kid, and that Lew Rees' crows feet are likely to scare the dog. Some things are better in soft focus.

I don't really see many (if any) of the Trudeau infomercials on AZTV. A lot of Donald Barrett/ITV shows, but there's not much of a difference between the two anyway. I was speaking of KTVK-3, which did run a Trudeau infomercial in prime time tonight. KPHO pre-empted a couple Sunday night shows last year for Trudeau as well. There must be a lot of gullible people out there who buy into the whole "debt cures" spiel for them to keep buying prime time. I know that KTVK has been on a downward spiral ever since Belo took over, but they might have hit rock bottom now.

As for AZTV in HD, what programming will they have to air in HD? If the Coyotes fold/move after this season, and their syndicated reruns aren't being sent to them in HD at this time, why upgrade?
