B 107-9 all time low

Remember...(as much as I hate to admit this), the "satellite" version of 107.9, programmed by ABC radio networks prior to Saga's takeover actually got in the high 2's 12 plus...fairly decent numbers for that frequency.

Man was that ABC Oldies Network TERRIBLE! I remember tuning in in July 2001 just to hear how 107.9 sounded once I found out they ditched STAR for oldies and it was the absolute worst crap I have ever heard coming out of my radio, and that includes 93.3, who is a close runner-up. They should have been doing a 0.2. All I can remember from the thirty seconds I suffered through was some idiot taking moronic callers and then making fun of them with a nonstop laugh track in the background.

Al Timiter: In Spring 2003, with Goodman's TV marketing concept backing it up, it made the mid 3's 12+ and around a 5 share 35-64. Had ODB pressed on with that model, a four could have been the high end of usual business. However, marketing dollars were cut, and programming was adjusted by corporate as well. Not only that, who could have imagined that CCU would waste not one but two of their signals in their crusade to fight off the massive, thundering 2.2kw WODB threat from the north that might have doomed the existence of Clear Channel as we know it.

I'll now wait for the dumb reply from some jackass who doesn't get sarcasm.

Inventor,

Where is Central City University and what station do they own.

I'll wait with you.

As I grew up 80' & 90's my parents complained about the loud "cant understand the words" banging music. I don't think having 60's 70's 80's is a good mix to have. Older folks who listen to their 60's 70's oldies did not like the 80's.
I think this is a dumb format to have, and yeah, the ratings show it. We need a station that plays the top 40 best of 80's. prefferably not on 107.9. The signal just sucks. Columbus radio overall stinks. Hopefully sometime in the future we will get a new station that will bring it.
