DON'T PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH!!! For the record, I never called a specific sales staff inept or insutled anyone. A good sales staff can also be creative and sell the web too as they know it is an extension of the brand and if the site sees traffic, it can create revenue. I have the utmost respect for good sales people.
As for the term DJ...do a little research and find out why it's not the term of choice...for someone with your extensive backround, you should know...but I digress.
By the way, you can "program" a website. You can control the content...just like you control the content on your radio station. And sorry for using "cool radio terms"...it is RADIO-info...what was I thinking!?!![]()
I was joking about the "cool radio terms" the terms you use are dated and only used by DJs. Do research on what a DJ is? Now I know you are joking. You dont get the humor in it? Every little title you hide behind is just an ego boost. Points are:
Radio reps sell airtime. Nowhere on the planet is there a great influx of cash from the web on a radio station.
Controlling content on a website is not programing it. Its not. Nice label however a wrong one. Programming is music, talent, promotions, positoning, training, and flow. A website is some pictures and some words. The on air product is the lifeblood. So we do agree that you do digress and we agree you were not thinking. mentioned that I did both so people would understand I did and that nobody should have such a fragile seff image that they feel the need to call themselves a title to feell better. We are all DJs or sales smucks. I am off to McDonalds to see a Culinary treat dispersal agent about dinner.
Ego boost? Where did this come from?? I was having a serious discussion about a radio tool and you turn to bashing and insulting me???
At least I have the balls to tell you who I am and let you know what my exprience is...not just "I did both sales and on-air." I put my name out there...you're the one hiding behind a screen name...who has the fragile self image?
