B 96 Noon Ka-Boom!!!

Has anyone heard it? I believe it started Thursday October 1st. A quick mix flashback of all 90s Killer Bee and Party Radio songs. And it is all-dance so far. I loved every second of it. You just don't hear those great party songs anymore. They for once dug in the crates and played songs you almost forgot made them who they are today.

It totally gets you pumped during the midday. Smart move by B 96 I think. Thoughts and comments?

I haven't heard it yet. If they are going to do this everyday, I will listen. I have thought for a long time that B96, or
another station for that matter, could do well in Chicago, by playing the music played in the late 80's to mid 90's on B96.

I think this target's the 30 something crowd well. It seemed to me that 100.3 was going to start heading a little in this
direction when they brought Brian M. in. I liked the dance parties he was doing on Sat. nights. I have liked them musically
lately, but, I always thought they could have played a little more of this type of music in their rotation, and still keep their
current listener's.

I am going to give this a listen on B96, and it might be the first time in years I check the station, at leave it on for more
than 30 seconds(insert smiley face here).

I just love how they are playing hits from the 90s not heard every day.

Just today

Technotronic "Rockin the Beat"
Salt N' Pepa "Let's Talk About Sex"
Dr. Alban "It's My Life"

Are you kidding me!?! What station in the country would dare re-air Dr. Alban?? Excellent work B 96. This 12 pm hour is going to be huge for them.

My own Internet station plays an hour of 90's music every Friday. I try and mix in a lot of rhythmic curveballs in the playlist...

Anyone know if there's an all-90's radio station on the air anywhere?

The former KWOD (106.5) in Sacramento, CA is now all 90s "the Buzz" and you can listen online (it's quite good IMO).

You also can listen online to the new gen-x radio 100.5 from Louisville, its about 85 percent 90s, it seems to play music from 1987 to y2k,, its a very good station, and yes it plays a decent amount of dance music. http://www.genxlouisville.com/ Im gonna check out the Cockroach when I get a chance too, I heard it was a good unique station.
