Brad Allen with Journal Broadcasting is from the Tri-Cities and is pretty good.

Brad Jeffries on B975 is pretty bad...and I have no idea where the guy is from.

Well, don't look for it to happen, at least, not in Knoxville. He's gotten the courtsey cup of coffee from Mike Hammond and Rich Bailey so they could tell him that there was no room at the Inn. The only two stations in the market that MIGHT be looking for a new morning show with their upcoming new formats aren't going to be willing to committ the kind of salary that someone of TK's talents will be asking for. WOKI doesn't have the cash or willingness to spend the cash. Journal would probably be interested, but they've got a great deal of time and money invested in Marc, Kim and Frank and have been seeing record ratings and have taken TK's #2 slot since his departure from Knoxville morning radio. It just wouldn't make sense for them to committ that kind of salary to a morning show that would take away from their strongest performer, and I'm pretty sure Rich and the suits on Amherst have made that known already.

I think alot of their audience comes from women at their desks or in their cars. Now they're listening to something else in the morning and not making the switch at 10 am, just keeping on with 102.1, 107.7 or whatever.

"""While you are correct sir that B-97.5 is no longer #2 in the morning, it is not Star that has taken the mantle. John Boy and Billy would be your new #2 morning show persons 25-54 in morning drive, which is the only demo that counts. B would be a very close third. Star is a drive and a six iron back in fourth.This next trend will be the first three month period without TK. Then you can begin judging the decision

I stand corrected. I believe the numbers I was given were in women 25-54, not persons, which is what B97.5 and Star were in the heated battle for all along. I still cannot understand how any person can listen to even one moment of John Boy and Billy. I don't see how they score outside of the all-important trucker and convience store worker demo.

I tried listening to Jon Boy and Billy's schlock. *sigh* It was annoying and futile. They're really irritating: "SURVEY SAYS! [Oven timer sound effect]"It's like a nonstop overly produced Andy and Allison skit for six hours. They're show is just TOO MUCH morning radio show, ya' know?All the best,~Aaron~
