B 99.9 Wilmington

Hey Everyone,

I just logged onto B99.9's website and noticed that their slogan has changed from "Hits of the 60s 70s and 80s" It now reads "Hits of yesterday and today" I am curios of a few things. When did their slogan change, it must have been very recent because I was one of the lucky winners who recieved their summer beach cooler bag and the old slogan is written on it, same goes for a t-shirt I recieved from them back in June

Has anyone noticed any changes big or small over at the B? 1. Have they tweaked or modified their playlist? 2. Is this an all out format change or just a minor tweak of the music? 3. Are they still using the "Windy 100" jingles from reelworld or did they get new ones, if so does anyone know who produced them? 4. Do they still have the same voice guy who I must say sounds ALOT like the voiceguy over on GNI, by the way who does the voices for B99.9 and 102.7 GNI.

Has anyone noticed the slogan change that I stumbled upon?

This is interesting :)

I have not heard the music, but "Hits of yesterday and today" is decidedly an AC slogan. Which brings me to ask something I've been wondering for awhile: what the hell is wrong with NextMedia?

They buy B, then flip Kool because there don't need to be two oldies stations. B was the higher rated one. Understandable. Now they go and flip B to something similar? What?
______________

I was listening yesterday, noticed the change and wondered what was up?
Current hits and stuff from 80's and 90's mixed in too. Right now they are playing club mixes, Kelly Clarkson. Sounds great!
Edited by megawattz on 09/28/05 07:11 PM.

B99.9 - Now pretty much Jack-FM

Same voice guy, same name... new slogan is "A 50/50 Mix of Yesterday and Today"

Just heard some old 70's song into Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl"... sounds to me like it's a Jack-FM clone. Were the ratings really getting that bad over there? I thought they were doing pretty good.
______________

Don't hold your breath, Next has made a some poor decisions. They've taken stations that were not broken, but needed some tweeking and then broke em.

Guys,If you really want to know what's going on here at B, just email me. I will be glad to let you know. Stop the guessing, and mud slinging. Get the facts before you blow your credibility. OH, maybe that's why everyone uses aliases here....Stan

B99.9 loud and clear in NENC tonight.

B 99.9 was loud and clear in Roanoke Rapids, NC between 7 and 8 tonight. I remember; "Got To Give It Up" by Marvin Gaye, 'I Can't Go For That' by Hall and Oats, and 'Thank You' by Dido. I am assuming 99.9 in Chase City, VA (or somewhere between Chase City and Creedmoor was off-the-air).
