I've always rooted for B.C., but because of that weasely little creep, Meterparel, I find myself hoping that they lose. Anyone else feel this way?

No,I don't.
There was no need to replace John Rooke though.

co-signed.

of course, tonight's game is a case of if Meter called a game in the forest... etc...

Meterparel sucks!!! I have said it since day 1 that he joined EEI. That little turd is an absolute fool, a disgrace and I hope to god BC drops his ass ASAP!! The best part about the radio brodcast and the tv is that if you turn down the television and turn up the radio (ala Gil Santos) you'll notice it's about a 2 minute+ delay. A great option for those of you that are a bit slo hearing :p

I think Gil used to do double duty with both the Pats and BC when the Eagles were on WBZ. On WWZN today, they were using the audio from WEEI for both the Sox and BC. National broadcast, not local--and they said the station's call letters as WWEI. I suppose if they meant "W, double E, I," it would technically be accurate. But, yeah, Meter is meta-annoying.

JMP puts a lot of heart and soul into those broadcasts. He may not be the smoothest, but he is exciting and always comes up with new ways to describe the field action "Ryan throws a lightening bolt".

Stop the whining.

I wasn't talking about Meter's call of the game, even though I think it's absolutely awful. He's trying too hard to come up with memorable phrases and none of them work (Matty Heisman, Take a bow, etc.). I meant that just from listening to Meter on D&C, I've come to despise him. I've never seen anyone so desperate for attention

Whining? What's Meter got on you? He is pathetic, Art put it pretty simply.

Meter-peril is just not ready for prime time. The kids on 90.3 are easier on the ears than this guy.

But I'm sure he comes cheap, which is what his bosses most value.

Remember, this is the same company that thought it was just a spiffy idea to have Glenn Geffner in a prominent role in Sox broadcasts.

Does the ISP sports network decide who the BC announcer will be, or is that the local station's call?

I feel guilty as hell, but I have to admit that I rooted for Florida State last night, just because of that creepy Meterparel. I watched it on TV, but I turned on the radio with about a minute to play just to hear his misery.

Didn't know which station it was on re: Radio, but the audio on the television kept dropping out...and kept dropping out...weird.

lIsten to the game on WEEI-FM coming home from dinner. My wife could not stand Meta. John Rook was so much better.

I didn't know Meter's mom posted... I can't hear him call a game if he's to busy in the little boys room in the FOUTH BLEEPING QUARTER! I agree with a previous post, I find myself routing against BC because of him too. Let Ted do the football and bball games.
