B/P's "Ultimate" Radio Station

If you were to staff the Ultimate radio station using the players in the Burlington/Plattsburgh market who would you staff it with? The best of the best.

AM Drive:

Middays:

PM Drive:

Nights:

Bonus question: What format would you make it?

Nobody. There is no good radio in this market, but if you held a gun to my head

AM Drive Mike and Chantal

Middays Mary Cenci

PM Drive Johnny Utah

Nights Mike Luoma

Format Every thing and anything that was and is rock

Why limit it to Burlington?

How about NNE....since it's a NNE board!

How about you start your own thread? The OP posed this question about Burlington/Plattsburgh....which is in NNE. Just because it is the NNE board doesn't mean a thread can't be about a specific market in the region.

Ok...here we go.

AM Drive: Mike Czarney & Lana Wilder

Middays: Thom Richards & Diane Desmond

PM Drive: Jon Brooks & Sweet Pete

Nights: Mary Cenci

Overnights: Steve Cormier & Ben Hamilton

The format: Some type of lighter rock.

This is a dream station so some of these combos may sound weird but they are all market veterans who know what they're doing. This would also be a 100,000 watt FM signal covering a huge area.

Wow! I wonder what the budget would look like for that! :D

Oh yeah, Sweet Pete would sound great playing lighter rock. "That was Fleetwood Mac with Rhiannon, bitch!"

Also, there's no "e" in "Czarny." However, I'm laughing at the morning drive pairing of Mike Czarny and Lana Wilder. She's alright, but why on God's green Earth would you break up a heritage show?

Isn't it sad when a programming format has to be based on one type of music? :(

I'm all for consistancy in programming, but every now and then...I wouldn't mind hearing something (a song or talk show format) that I didn't expect? ::)

Kind of like eating vanilla ice cream. The taste and texture are consistant, but the flavor gets very boring without an occasional topping! ;D

There you go again, hijacking more threads. Also, please review proper usage of question marks.

I think Ray-dee_oh's trying to thin the herd here... Lana and Czarny, Pete Belair and John Brooks, Steve Cormier and Ben Hamilton? That sound more like the setup to a cage match on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!

Ben Karlow...

I'm sorry you feel that I hijacked this thread!

But if you're convinced that one size fits all and everything has to sound completely the same when it comes to broadcast formats---maybe YOU'RE THE REASON why a lot of radio stations sound so tired! :-[
