B101.1 and 106.1 The Breeze: Same Song, Same Time

You can totally say buh bye. The never-ending and absolute arrogance of your responses to people on here is why I had you blocked until the most recent site upgrade. Buh bye.

There’s something quite amusing about an argument stemming from a thread that started by mentioning an especially schmaltzy Bryan Adams song of all things.

Now Aerosmith, maybe. Motley Crue, sure. AC/DC…hells bells, definitely.

I eagerly anticipate the UFC cage match when a Celine Dion song comes up. 😀

Though I am still following the radio nerd stuff, I finally gave up on terrestrial radio a while ago. Too many better options available including the songs I myself put on my own phone which is always in my pocket. About five minutes ago, I'm hanging out waiting for a friend to get his act together and just for gits and shiggles, I ran through the old presets on my receiver. "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)" by Bryan Adams was on both B101.1 and 106.1 The Breeze. I thought, 'Oh right. Yeah, that seems about right' and turned off the stereo. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
So which one sounded better.... technically. You know, loudness, processing, etc.

It's funny you should ask. Being the radio geek that I am, I did actually go back and forth a couple times. It sounded much flatter on 106.1. B101.1 sounded "bigger," kinda brighter and crisper.

I don't know if people think the Ignore button here at radiodiscussions.com is a premium feature or something, but I can assure you it is completely free. Any user can ignore any other user (or all other users) for any reason or for no reason at all. Being the helpful person I am, if anyone needs help figuring it out, I'll be happy to put together a quick tutorial. Feel free to message me and I'll gladly assist.

Now now, boys. Lol.

*Somewhat* off-topic, but .....

It was around 1973 when I was working at an AoR station in Massachusetts. Known only to me and him, my buddy from Brooklyn (Harry Mankin) was working at Top 40 WHYN across town.
Dead opposite each other doing 7-Mid.
There began to be a lot of overlap in songs, especially singles, at the time. So we, uh, conspired over the phone to come out of some TOH, with each of us following the format clock, playing the same song.
Then, the next THREE songs.
Harry's PD called him up and hollered 'You and those hippies across town are playing the same songs !!!! What's going on ?!?!?'
My PD was a bit skeptical, but wiswe to it. He phoned me, and in a concerned, resigned voice, said only '.... Steve .....' and then hung up

I assume the songs you were both playing were more in the vein of "Ramblin' Man," "La Grange" and "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" than, say, "Sing," "Say, Has Anyone Seen My Gypsy Rose" and "Half-Breed"?
