B101 and changes...WHJJ, Does anyone listen to that staion any more?....

I noticed B101 is phasing out the jingles. The most noticable is the weather jingle. The Jock comes out of the stopset cold with wx and over the intro of the next song. For a station that wants to sound top 40 ish, Does'nt dropping the jingles and plain segues lean more old WRX type sound. I do hear alot of Sweepers/liners. Are thier changes in the future of the Bee? A possible name change? Anyone else picking up on anything over thier at the Ghetto Pent house?

As for WHJJ, I have listen to to the station total of five minutes since Christmas. Is it now time to turn off the lights close and lock the door and call it a day. YOU...

I'll listen to Helen Glover once in awhile but even her show has no energy.
WHJJ is DOA. A real shame!
Question is will they ever seek to revive it.

I'm surprised B101 still uses jingles as they are not common to classic hits stations.Stations like this usually follow suit with decent morning shows then non personalities who could disappear and no one would notice.B101 is there with that description although that midday blight on the face of Providence radio still insists on talking too much about nothing. If it weren't for the 5 day workweeks there they probably wouldn't even have weekenders but as it is they have more than any other Providence station.

Bring back the jingles! The liners are just way too plain. Even if its just one or two an hour, they should keep them in there, in my opinion. I notice they were still using them going back into syndicated shows from commercials over the weekend. They haven't even had them on the air for a year yet.

They're cutting jingles becauase CC told them to, not because they want to. Thus the disappearance of the weather jingle. You'll hear the same thing on Coast too.

So CC is ordering stations to stop using jingles, something that has been used in radio forever? I thought jingles make people remember the name of the station better? Wow, CC management continues to ruin radio...
