B101 branding

RadioInsight.com speculates that B101 might be one of a handful of stations to rebrand as "More," a new AC moniker first used recently on an FM in Florida.
Interestingly, B101's HD2 80s station already IDs itself as "More FM @ 101.1." "More 80s." Etc.
Would they brand one their HD1 as B and their HD2 as More? Or will B101 morph into More 101.1."

Don't you mean "MORE-ph into More 101.1"? ;D

If this is indeed the case, the legal name of the company owning it will probably still be WEAZ-FM Inc." ;D

Oh, and if they do go ahead with this rebranding, they might as well resume streaming, because they're already giving us MORE of the same. :D

Yes, we will see if B101 MORE-phs into a new name.

Will be interesting to see if the station MORE-gages its future on the new name. :)

Usually that's true, but...

WDVR wasn't broke when it became EAZY101

EAZY101 wasn't broke when it moved away from beautiful music

EAZY101 still wasn't broke when it became the B.

Moral? You may go broke if you bet against Jerry Lee.

The short-sighted curse of US business, which allowed the Japanese (and others) to take over and dominate so many industries. Their motto is constant improvement. Ain't broke only applies in a world where time stands still.

Yeah but this is also the city where a slight change in the Action News theme sparks massive protests.

Didn't they buy up another branding a few years ago - was it "Fresh"? - and never use it on the air but just to keep someone else from using it? Remember "Kiss 99 FM"?

Notice even Action News doesn't do weather any more using stick-on Happy Suns and Frowning Clouds. Actually, Action News doesn't even use the Action News format any more (basically, they are doing Eyewitness News).

All change is not improvement.

>>> One of you said>>>Moral? You may go broke if you bet against Jerry Lee.

Moral is low at B101. At one time Jerry Lee had money to promote the station. Not anymore! After his partner passed away Jerry has been in debt. He borrowed alot of money to be the sole owner. He now has a hugh debt payment. It is crazy that people think B101 can't be beat. That is perception and not reality!

The DJ's sound like robots. Very stale and stifled. A company in Philly should bet against Jerry and bet him. His time has come and gone. Let's see if nyone is smart enough to do so!
