Finishing touches to come or not I still assume there will be no one live and local at either station after morning drive. In saying you completely understand why this was done at Coast I assume either the HJJ simulcast is going to happen or they're going to be sold eventually.I doubt the sale.

There will be no simulcast of WHJJ on WSNE.

You forgot "at this time"

All I can say for sure is that Clear Channel is headed for Bankruptcy. They've used up most of their cash. The well is quickly running dry. Radio stations are going to start failing like the Banks are. Small radio stations may vanish from the airwaves altogether. If the big boys can't even stay afloat, than how the hell are the mom and pop operations going to pull in any cash. I wouldn't be surprised if much of the dial starts going blank pretty soon. It's damn frightning to realize that things are coming to this. But I really feel that it is. Rough times ahead. I'm curious to see who will be left standing in the end.

What mom & pops might have over big corporations is that they don't have the structural problems with all of the layers of management and the overhead associated with them, which gives them a better way to gaining profits. A good example seems to be Greater Media in Boston....

Coast's morning production is just as bad. The news and traffic segments with 2 minute sounders before a voice comes on are mysterious at best. What a joke. Boycott!

I heard one whose last name was either Ronson or Bronson. I think it was Bronson because Bob Bronson from WZID in Manchester is now at NYC's WLTW which is a Clear Channel station so they may be using him as one of the voices. I'm just jumping to conclusions here. It isn't that the voices themselves are bad. They're just sterile. Too bad this was just dumped on Bill George. The concept of this being done this quickly is so dated but I assume the henchmen in Medford are running that place (into the ground).

I think "twittered out" means it gets boring posting things like "making breakfast now", "took a shower", etc.

By the way the new B101 "personalities" are up on the website. Strangely similiar to these personalities:
http://www.wolz.com/main.html
And I'm pretty sure Marc Coppola is Nicholas Cage's brother so it could be worse. Do you really want to hear Nicholas Cage on the radio?

Whats gonna happen, if heaven forbid, another terrorist attack or other national emergency should happen? Same goes for a local emergency like a hurricane. And B101, SNE, HJY are all tracked or running birdfeed. And there is no human being in the building. EAS can only do so much. There will be a time when a live person will be needed. To convey more detailed info. That the EAS did not cover.
Sadly, this will make stations & their owners/managers look like fools. If they don't get the word out. When the word HAS to go out.

Well, we certainly didn't want to hear the likes of David Lee Roth and Whoopi Goldberg on the radio - but obviously, we had no say in the matter...

Marc Coppola, formerly on Q104 in New York City, if I'm not mistaken...

As I also mentioned on another post, we all knew that it was coming eventually, but it was still great to be around all the way to the end...it was a good ride and I enjoyed my return to B101. Thanks to the other fine weekend people who made my stay lots of fun this time around: Dave Newfell, Scott Brennan, Scott Gibbons, and of course, Tom St. John. Thanks, guys. Thanks also to everyone out there who listened, called, and e-mailed. B101 may be different now, or at least on the weekends, but the memories will always be there.
I'll next talk to you on JB105.com ;D
