B101 now broadcasting in High Definition

Finally, B101 is now Broadcasting in HD.WWBB is the first radio station in Rhode Island to do so.
Also the Bee seems to backing off of "60's and 70's in thier logo and jingles.
Also they are really changing thier tune.

At 8 am

Tom Petty- Refugee
Grass Roots- Temptation Eyes
Jack and Diane- John Couger

kicks off the 8 o'clock hour.

Yeah I don't think I've heard the "60's or 70's" thing all day. Sounds good though, an interesting mix. Certainly no going back to the 50's now.

You're a couple months late on that one. They've been broadcasting HD IBOC hash for a couple months now.

920 WHJJ is also broadcasting the hash.

>I noticed the jingles over the weekend with no 60's and 70's.Then yesterday I heard everything from the Supremes to Nazarath's "Love Hurt's".Is there a song they are not playing now from John Melloncamp also hurd Joan Jett late last night.
It does sound good but "Oldies" is now another format 6 feet under in Providence.I wonder if 99.7 is going to be some sort of classic hit's and that's why B101 is adding alot of Late 70's and early 80's
I think we can officially say B101 is a "Classic Hit's station
