did anyone happen to catch B101 broadcasting in HD1 and HD2 last thursday? it only on for one day the HD signal was amazing what was intersting is i was riding through central nj in hunterdon county at the time got catch to here the two HD overlaps and guess what they cancel each other out and the receiver can not lock on to either HD it will lock unto the strongest HD signal. you would think when this system was developed they would have taken the short spacing of channels into account and resolved the overlap problem. Anyway B101 appears to have the largest HD coverage so yet out there HD1 and HD2 were broadcasting the main channel...

Anyone know what B101's HD formats will be? Wouldn't it be great if it were beautiful music especially since they were the heritage city B/EZ station that everyone knew and loved up until 1988 on FM and 1993 on AM. <P ID="signature">______________

Of course no one caught it, most people don't even know HD Radio exists!

No...I was actually in Philly with my HD Recepter airchecking the Hades out of everything that is HD, but did not catch that one, despite going by 101.1 numerous times to see if it was there. Were they running separate programming on each channel, and if so, what was on the 2??

The only thing that was short lived was (see post below), the rare appearance (re-appearance?) of WRDW-FM's "Dash 2" one night/overnight last week. That's a good station, and living here in Miami, I actually prefer it to the one it's based on, our WPOW.

HD2 was running the main channel hopefully they will come up with something worth listening to. I agree i caught WRDW's Dash 2 and its excellent, just like Dash in Miami. btw you can listen to that HD2 online.. Also Club Ben (WBEN HD2) isnt bad either its very similar to WKTU's format. WHYY HD2 is great as well its classical and than BBC :) There is some hope in philadelphia afterall of more diverse programming thats local.

Is the Philly "Dash 2" online at all?? I'm aware Miami's is and I remember them saying the Philly one was intended to have a stream but do not know if they ever put it up, I can't find a link to it online at the most.

Club Ben was somewhat disappointing, to me, as they seem to have more 90s Dance "stiffs" by artists like Cher and alot of cheap Dance remakes of bad 90s Hits that made it not worth listening to...I was expecting a straight down the line dance version of Ben but it's really not. KTU it ain't, for sure.

What is RTI running on their secondary?? Seemed Classical every time I put it on but with jocks, so I'd guess it was a network.
