B101

Why wouldn't it be voicetracked from out of market. You don't actually think they'll hire someone new to do anything, do you?

Maybe there's a janitor in the building who needs more work - I'm sure they'll take him or her.

When in doubt there's always the chance of a 12 hour Ed McMannequin marathon

Why don't you apply for it, Kenny?

Absolutly not,

I will not apply for work at B101 under current ownership nor management.I will suggest "syndication" though. Tom Kent or something.
Anything is better than Voice tracking.I would rather just her music than voicetracking.

WKNL-Kool-101 out of New Londondoes an awesome job with it.

The dulcid monotone of Scott Murphy was on last night.I don't know if he was lived or voice tracked since it's difficult to tell with his delivery which has seen better days.

First, It's Kool with a "K" for WKNL.From what I gather from someone who works there Kool-101 is Viocetracked on the O'nites. The type of automation they have from what I was told can allow you to do time checks and be right on the money.I am not sure how it works though. Then again I am told Hall has a body in the building 24/7.Weather it is a board -op a live jock.Hall supposedly has one person in each cluster manning the building around the clock.

Re: WKNL...
Yep, know the folks there, they keep it live except for voice tracks at night. Great talent pool there, probably one of the best playlists for the format as well. And they're not afraid to say OLDIES...big kudos to PD Jim Reed there. He's a great guy who has been in this marketplace a very long time, in fact, a history lesson:

Mid 1970s, WNBH/WMYS (Remember those calls and that incredible station brewing in New Bedford back then?) Jim Reed, then and there. Of course, he was there for the turnover to WCTK, a heartbreak for all of us who loved WMYS back then.
