B 102.9 is technically a modern AC that's musically similar to WZPL in Indy. They moved away from CHR back in January 2010 and used the "Today's Hit Music without the Rap" slogan for several months before adding hot AC-friendly rhythmic product in the latter half of 2010. The station seems to be doing pretty well in the ratings by toggling that CHR/AC line. It should be noted that Lafayette does not have an adult contemporary radio station unless you count Shine 99.
WAZY is the only CHR in Lafayette, but over the years, they have yo-yoed between being a true CHR and leaning adult. Lately, they've been leaning adult as well--dayparting rhythmic hits/rap to the evening/overnight hours.
