>>The FCC has also issued new Notices of Illegal Pirate Radio Broadcasting to Marisia Maocha for a station operating on her property on 90.7 in Brockton MA

Some years ago Brattleboro VT had a pirate which was "licensed by its community" but not by the FCC. A later effort, perhaps involving some of these people, resulted in a legal LPFM, WVEW

The 90.7 in Brockton intefered with WBUR 90.9. In 2010 a pirate called Datz Hits operated at 99.7, interfering with WCRB. The owners claimed to have asked for a license from the FCC but didn't hear back; they felt they were serving the public and were not interfering with ambulance frequencies, etc
WCRB's Benjamin Roe was interviewed by ClassicalScene in May of 2011:
"The way the interference works is not just that you can’t hear us in Mattapan, but in other areas like Cambridge and Brookline our signal is degraded. The coverage that 99.5 should have legally is not maximized."

At one point a pirate, maybe them, _was_ interfering with Logan aircraft freqs.
