B94 Thoughts?

So what are everyone's thoughts on B94 thus far? I'm lovin' it, honestly! The variety of new Top 40 and R&B is just right, as well as the hint of older Top 40 songs they throw in on occasion.

I think they are doing a great job on the music on B 94. It's nice to hear a balance of variety in CHR. As many said before, I'm glad they are not speeding up the songs like Kiss FM. When B 94 has a full airstaff, we will have an even better feel for the station.

The ratings come out this afternoon, and we will see how B 94 did in a first full month.

The Fall book covers September through the middle of December. The Pittsburgh ratings that come out today will still be Zone ratings. B won't get a full book of just B until the Winter ratings come out.

For the most part, it feels like the same station that went off the air in June 2004. The music selection is great.

I'm curious to hear Flick doing Nights. He's only 21 which is much younger than Bonics who I believe is pushing 30? Flick should be able to relate and connect with the college kids in Pittsburgh much better. :)

I'd like to have Adam back for the morning show, but I can't imagine him leaving a Top 10 market to come back to Pittsburgh (#24). Maybe if they offered him alot of money? If they go low budget with Bubba leading the morning show it would be a mistake. He's best as the sidekick.

It will be interesting to see what the B does in their first full book. Heck, they should be much better than a 1.0.

For sure. By then, the station should be in full swing, and the ratings will probably be the best they've seen on that frequency in a couple years.

The ratings they show here on radio-info say the Phase I period is Aug-Sept-Oct, so I stand corrected on my earlier post.

That's good to know that WTZN's ratings for this book that came out today is from Aug-Oct. So when the ratings come out again Dec 19, will it be for sept-nov?

At this stage the goal is cume over TSL. People are going to be sampling your station and want THE hot hits.

Once they start to stay with you a little longer then you slow it down. But you will always have 5 songs on a 45 minute rotation in all likelihood.
