B96 is very dance friendly!

I was in Chicago today, so of course I listened to B96-HD2. But I kept flipping over to the HD1 and noticed quite a few dance tracks in rotation. Then their mix show is almost all dance! Never thought I'd find a more dance friendly CHR than 92.3 Now.

Tomorrow I head to Minneapolis and will get to hear my favorite HD2 dance station, The Party Zone on KDWB-HD2 (and hopefully also on analog translator 102.5)

I live in the B-96 zone and it is about 80% dance friendly all the time, if not more at times. Flip Side at 5 is very dance/pop driven. Street mixes on the weekend are quite a bit more hardcore dance product. For your average dance fix, B-96 HD1 will suffice quite nicely!! Glad to be in range for the first time in my life! B-96 has always been my favorite.

PS - We also have 92.5/92.7/99.9 (Dekalb/Arlington Heights/Kankakee) "Chicago's Dance Factory" after 9pm each and every night. Hardcore dance all the time. Awesome!

The only problem I have with B96 is that they are extremely Hip Hop/urban rhythmic leaning than dance. They are more Rhythmic CHR. They lean more dance with their weekend mix shows. But, overall, they are more less straight ahead Rhythmic CHR.

I don't know what you're listening to, but B-96 barely plays hip/hop anymore. Mostly dance leaning with pop. I listen everyday, several times a day. Thrift Shop is the only hip-hop (ish) song they are spinning regularly.
