I like to check out B96's playlist every once in a while and have noticed some songs from when it was "Chicago's Dance Beat" popping up on a regular basis. Such as Crystal Waters "100 Percent, Pure Love" , Lil Suzie, "Take Me In Your Arms. Stevie B "I Wanna Be The One" , Nice and Wild " Diamond Girl ", Not to mention more recent hit's like Cascada's "Everytime We Touch" and "What Hurts the Most" and a few other pop hit's currently huge right now. Might not be a huge shift, but it definitely is a good sign that hip hop isn't as popular as it once was. Especially with the sound of some of the new hip hop coming out. I heard Ne-Yo's "Closer" for the first time yesterday on WPYO here in Orlando and was suprised the dance sound it had to it.
