B96 To Air "Morning Mess"

The last station to run this show ended up flipping from CHR to a simulcast of all news.
 
Their logo for B 96 is horrible. Side note. I love how the article they are quoted by saying we searched all over lol no you didn't you found the cheapest way out. 😄
 
WBBM-FM seems to be another CHR this company can’t succeed with, but it lost to Kiss FM back in the CBS days.

Maybe 780 should have simulcast on 96.3 instead….
 
The Morning Mess has performed well in Phoenix, generally speaking, but I agree economic considerations factored into the decision to bring them to Chicago. I have no idea if this move will prove to be good, bad or indifferent relative to B96's performance.

I agree with an earlier post that the current B96 logo is hideous. They should bring back one of the classic logos.

103.5 has been the better CHR station for years (in terms of AQH share and my personal preference), but I believe B96 still bills reasonably well and performs alright in some key demos.

No. Apart from Joey Boy the other folks on the show got their start in Phoenix. One started as an intern and then producer for another show in the building, one was hired as a winner of a "join our new morning show" talent search, and one was a part timer.

Good on them for making the best of their opportunity, though.
 
Not even Mancow can save B96 at this point...
