In a slightly related bit of news, former KQID PD Ron Roberts is now holding down middays at B97.

No, I speculated that Ron would get the gig because A) He's got experience, both as a programmer and in all dayparts, including mornings and B) He's already there, knows what's going on, and (See A).

Well anyways, Ron Roberts is one hell of a PD! He should get the gig of PD and they can boot Kaplan out of there. I'm sick of the station the way it is right now. I know this is kinda off topic, but it practically revolves around Stevie G and his wife. It's gotten SO BAD now that he's even got a song sung for him & about him, by a new artist and that's just over the edge! Rediculous! I heard the first 20 or 30 seconds of that crap and hit another preset.
Someone PLEASE do something over there! They're taking a heritage CHR and flushing it down the drain! Mike and Stevie need to give it up already!

Tyler on drugs? Sounds too weird for me, but ok. I find that hard to imagine. He seemed like a good guy when I worked with him. And very knowledgeable at what he does. I wish him luck!

I'm thinking 106-7 KKND isn't going to make it through to the end of the year. I'm guessing they're going to take it CHR against B-97, which would be ok in my book, seeing B-97 as being ALL STEVIE G., ALL THE TIME.
I don't like the idea of another station trying to do CHR against B-97 since their heritage, but they are the only one in this city and it's boring. They know they can do anything and get away with anything cause there's no competition. People are forced to listen in this case.
