B98.5 confirms all-Christmas format on Facebook

B98.5 has used their new Facebook page to confirm that they will in fact go all-Christmas soon. No date is given. But given the indications on their website...and the fact that the PPM ratings periods change in the middle of the month (November 11th for this month)...I suspect they could pull the trigger early this year.

Many of the Clear Channel AC's are holding off on Christmas. The past couple of years, WMJJ/Birmingham was all-Christmas on November 1st. WMJJ is still broadcasting their normal AC format today. I don't think PPM has arrived in Birmingham...but it has in other CC AC markets. I wonder if sleigh bells will be ringing this weekend?

Thanks for the heads up. I know what station I won't be listening to until December 20.

There was a chance they were not going to do it?

No Christmas music until Black Friday, I say.

B98.5 competes with Fish with Christmas music in ATL--keep an eye on the Holy Mackerel as well. How/when does Salem flip their Fish stations? Only problem with Fish is they use what sounds like a taped or computerized set of songs during evening and overnight shifts. Wouldn't be a big deal except the playlist is TINY during these times, and it's heavy on Creed.

I am just excited that they have a Facebook page. They are ahead of the curve on this whole social media thing. This might be the final piece that convinces me to check Fascebook out.

My wife is a Fish listener, so I listen some. The best I can tell, they are musically the old time “top 40”. All they need would need would be the echo and up tempo announcers. I also believe there their current play list is tighter that 40.

I want WSB-FM HD-2 or HD-3 to be Atlanta's home for continuous Chanukah favorites. Of course after a while it's going to get tiring of hearing that Dreidel song and Adam Sandler over and over and over.
