B98.5 Moves The Calendar Forward

For Labor Day Weekend, the "Big 80s Weekend" is replaced by a "Retro Weekend" featuring all 80s and 90s. Is this because:

1) Of their new format emphasizing 80s and 90s AC?
2) Pressure from Journey? When Journey came on the air, the all-80s weekends started starting much earlier.
3) Pressure from Star?
4) The inexorable march of time, much as they dumped the all-70s weekends from 15 years ago?

Is this a segue into a new weekend playlist for them?

An all 90's weekend in top 40/AC genre is dangerous. Simply too much of them. The 99x followers (such as myself) say it's the 90's that are killing the station. Nothing against the 90's but I can only handle Champagne Supernova so many times in one day.
