B98.5 No Longer Voted #1 For Listening At Work

B98.5 has made some dramatic changes to its imaging. Some new jingles (mixed in with the old) and new imaging pieces...and the times the DJ's crack the mics has changed as well.

But the most earth shattering change is that B98.5 is no longer using the "Voted #1 Again For The Most Music While You Work" tagline after so many years.

I wonder if a new jimgle package or playlist may be on the horizon in the next few days.

The election is over? Damn! ??? I just became of age to vote.
With all due respect to JAL and his insightful analysis of the changes, he failed to mention that the station is now atlanta's only soft rock station!

A listener would assume that means they are no longer winning the mid day ratings race.

I belive that the laywers for B98.5 FM (and ALWAYS remember it's FM, not to be confused with B98.5 AM), is contesting the vote, claiming there were hanging chads in Dekalb County.

The boast of being "number one at work" ... (or what have you) listeners don't buy anyway - why say it? ... pardon me for not paying attention - but are they using a new imaging voice - or is that the same one they've been using?

I hear the Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will be in Atlanta this weekend due to the under-reporting of black voters in the "Listen While You Work" election. Folks, this is going to go on for months. Meanwhile, B98.5 has been seen standing front of a bank of cubicles to appear more like a "Listen While You Work" station.

Isn't 'listen while you work' an ASCAP violation?
