B98.5 shifts Delilah to 8PM-1AM

It looks like as of the first of the month, B98.5 has shifted Deliliah back one hour to run from 8 PM to 1 AM. The old 94.9 Lite FM did this before they flipped in 2006. (B98.5 acquired the rights and has been running Deliliah 7 PM to midnight ever since). This is the lastest of the multiple changes that have been made to Cox's flagship FM in the past couple of months (abandonment of jingles, addition of long commercal breaks, abandonment of the 98 at 9, addition of actual AC currents).

Seems to me that John Tesh would be a better fit for B than Delilah. I don't know about Delilah's show, but with Tesh, stations can opt to do a customized version by playing their own music.

Stations can do that with Delilah too. And B98.5 often (obviously) does.

I tend to disagree. I can pickup Z93.7 in Macon sometimes and hear the exact same song playing there on Delilah and on B98.5 at the same time. The playlist on Delilah is more soft AC and reminds me of what 94.9 Lite FM was playing before it went off the air. This playlist is exactly what I think B98.5 should merge to or maybe an unsuccessful Atlanta radio station should flip to.

B98.5 doesn't swap out every song. Obviously, if someone makes a request, they can't do that without also cutting out part of the dialogue. But some of the unannounced songs are obviously swaps.
