B98.5 Supporting Beatstock 2011

The world famous dance concert which was previously started by WKTU back in 2000, is now being sponsored by B98.5, whereas the Long Island part is being sponsored by WPTY Party FM (105.3). This is a shock, just as soon as their mixshow lineup was removed on their website, the ad for Beatstock shows. Would this possibly lean to how they first started in September, going a top 40/dance tweak?
 
Does that mean that B98.5 no longer airing the mixshows? I liked their late Friday night mixshow.

I've noticed B98.5 sounds much better to me than Hit 106. Not as much rock and gold tracks in the playlist.

Speaking of Beatstock, seems like the Six Flags event is better because it also includes the rides and is easier to get to from NYC via public transit.
 
WKTU did not start Beatstock, it has been put on by a promoter since it's inception. WKTU has had the exclusive sponsorship since the beginning, and chose not to renew it this year.

I would not call B98.5 a sponsor. Z889, Wired 96.5 and Wild 102.7 are also involved with show in NJ
